Nursery Home Learning
The nursery team have created this homework pack with activities you can do at home with your child. It is not essential to complete everything but please use this as a guide for educational things to do with your child during their time off school. Thank you for your support!
Other activities you could complete at home…
- Read with your child. Encourage them to talk about what is happening in the pictures, what might happen next and where the words/pictures are.
- Mark making – this could be using pens/pencils and paper (provided in this pack) or in sensory materials such as rice, flour, cornflour. If you have any old wall paper at home, the children love using this to draw on!
- Baking/cooking – when you are baking/cooking talk to the children about what you are doing (we have been learning about recipes). Discuss what ingredients/equipment you are going to use and allow them to measure ingredients and talk about the process.
- Counting to 10/20 – this could be as they are completing an action e.g. walking up the stairs or as they are playing with their toys.
