Year 6 English

Here are two examples of beautiful poems written by pupils in Year 6 during our study of 'Evolution and Inheritance'. They explain how Darwin's observations of finches on the Galapagos Islands helped him develop his ideas.

We have been writing biographies about some amazing and influential people.

Year 6 created a super display inspired by our workshop with the Young Shakespeare Company. We wrote our own versions of the famous spell featured in the scene with the three witches.

Here are some example of our work where we thought about the way Shakespeare uses language to create a particular mood and atmosphere. This is the scene where Macbeth and Banquo meet the weird sisters.
