    Hannah Foster – Headteacher

    Overall Purpose:
    To secure excellent achievement and progress for all pupils and ensure gaps are narrowed, with a strategic vision for leading Priory as a highly inclusive school where all children, including those with complex needs, can thrive. To champion early intervention and the power of play as essential tools for learning, communication, and the development of lifelong skills, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to flourish in an environment that values inclusion, curiosity, and joy in learning.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Joint responsibility with SLT for development, monitoring, and evaluation of the School Development Plan (SDP).
    • Collective responsibility for monitoring teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
    • Lead the strategic vision and direction for inclusion across the school, ensuring Priory is recognised for its inclusive ethos and practice, including:
      • Embedding inclusion as a fundamental principle in all aspects of school leadership, planning, and decision-making.
      • Driving high-quality early intervention strategies, including the development and integration of the Early Years Development Centre.
      • Championing the power of play as a vital approach to support communication, social development, emotional well-being, and lifelong learning skills.
      • Oversight of the school’s specialist provisions—including the SEND unit, resource base, and planned additional SEND places—ensuring these are fully integrated into the whole-school vision and practice.
      • Promoting a culture of belonging, respect, and equity for all pupils, staff, and families.
    • Lead the strategic overview of leadership and management, including:
      • School Self Evaluation
      • School Development Planning, with inclusion and equity embedded throughout priorities
      • Setting the strategic direction for inclusion and ensuring its integration into all school systems, culture, and high-level decision-making.
      • Staffing model and workforce planning, ensuring capacity and expertise to deliver high-quality inclusive provision
      • Staff retention and recruitment, focusing on developing an inclusive and diverse workforce
      • Financial monitoring and evaluation, ensuring equitable resource allocation to meet diverse pupil needs
      • Performance management, with accountability for inclusive practice and outcomes for all groups
      • Statutory responsibilities, including oversight of compliance related to inclusion, SEND, and equality
      • Governance engagement, ensuring governors are well-informed on the school’s inclusive work and priorities
      • Building external partnerships to enhance inclusive practice and secure opportunities for all pupils
      • Supporting the personal development and well-being of staff, including building resilience, stress management, work-life balance, and sustainable workload
    • Line management of Deputy and Assistant Headteachers and the Business Manager.

    Chloe O’ Connor – Deputy Headteacher

    Overall Purpose:
    To lead the strategic vision and operational delivery of SEND and inclusion across the school, ensuring every child can thrive in an inclusive environment. Also, to serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding, pupil well-being, and attendance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Joint responsibility with SLT for development, monitoring, and evaluation of the School Development Plan (SDP).
    • Collective responsibility for monitoring teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
    • Provide strategic and operational leadership for SEND and inclusion, including:
      • Overseeing the development of inclusive classroom environments and teaching practices across all phases.
      • Ensuring consistency and high standards in provision for pupils with SEND, including the effective deployment of support staff and targeted interventions.
      • Translating the strategic vision for inclusion into operational practice through staff training, curriculum adaptation, and daily teaching.
      • Supporting staff in adapting teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners and promoting an inclusive ethos throughout the school community.
    • Serve as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), with responsibility for:
      • Developing and implementing safeguarding policies and procedures.
      • Leading multi-agency collaboration and referrals.
      • Delivering safeguarding training for all staff.
      • Overseeing safeguarding cases to ensure robust and timely responses.
    • Lead the strategic oversight and monitoring of attendance across the school, ensuring improved attendance rates and effective intervention for persistent absence.
    • Line management of Deputy DSLs and SENDCOs.

    Aimee Proffitt –

    Deputy Headteacher

    Overall Purpose:
    To support school improvement through leadership of curriculum, teaching, and learning, and the development of staff, ensuring that all areas of school life contribute to Priory’s inclusive vision and high expectations for every pupil.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Joint responsibility with SLT for development, monitoring, and evaluation of the School Development Plan (SDP).
    • Collective responsibility for monitoring teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
    • Ensure compliance with national testing arrangements by Phase Leaders and Year Leaders.
    • Support staff personal development and well-being.
    • Jointly oversee all training programmes, including:
      • PGCE and B.Ed students
      • Graduate TAs
      • School Direct trainees
      • Straight to Teaching candidates
      • Work experience placements
      • Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
    • Lead on curriculum development and monitoring for STEAM subjects (Science, Technology, DT, Computing, Art, Music, Maths), ensuring inclusive practice and adaptation to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
    • Support curriculum development and classroom practice that incorporate early intervention strategies and the power of play as part of high-quality teaching.
    • Oversee provision, progress, and monitoring for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
    • Drive strategic implementation of enrichment and cultural capital opportunities for all pupils as part of “Opportunities for All.”
    • Line management of Phase Leaders, Year Leaders, and Cover Supervisors.

    Sarah Moore – Business Manager

    Overall Purpose:
    To contribute to excellent achievement and progress for all pupils through strategic leadership of resources and operational management, ensuring that resource decisions enable inclusive practice and equitable opportunities for all pupils.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Joint responsibility with SLT for development, monitoring, and evaluation of the School Development Plan (SDP).
    • Collective responsibility for monitoring teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
    • Lead the strategic overview of resources, ensuring decisions support inclusion and equity, including:
      • Finance and budget management
      • Facilities and site management
      • Health and safety compliance
      • Administration systems (including the school calendar and staff handbook)
      • Human resources, including absence management
      • IT and SIMS network management
      • Marketing and publicity
      • Oversight of school visits and trips
    • Line management of the Finance Officer, Finance Administrator, Facilities Manager, and Office Manager.

     

    Jake Philpott – Assistant Headteacher

    Overall Purpose:
    To support the Headteacher in leading the school, with strategic leadership in behaviour management, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) support and interventions, nurture provision, curriculum development, and teacher development, ensuring all pupils benefit from high expectations and inclusive practice.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Joint responsibility with SLT for development, monitoring, and evaluation of the School Development Plan (SDP).
    • Collective responsibility for monitoring teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.
    • Lead on behaviour management, including:
      • Overseeing implementation of the behaviour policy.
      • Supporting behaviour management strategies and support plans.
      • Managing serious incidents and analysing behaviour data.
    • Lead on SEMH provision and interventions across the school, including:
    •  Develping and overseeing nurture provision to support pupils’ emotional regulation, social skills, and readiness for learning.
    • Leading pupil persnal development, attitudes to learning, and general well-being, including mental health support.
    • Signpsting staff to appropriate external professionals where there are early signs of mental health concerns.
    • Lead curriculum development and monitoring in Language and Humanity subjects, ensuring all curriculum areas promote inclusion, engagement, and high expectations for all learners:
      • Languages (English, phonics and reading, French)
      • Personal Development (PSHRE and PE)
      • Humanities (Geography, History, RE)
    • Lead and implement strategic CPD for staff, including:
      • Training on inclusive teaching practices.
      • Staff induction, support, and performance management.
    • Line management of the PE Lead and Learning Mentors.
