Hannah Foster – Headteacher

To secure excellent achievement and progress of all students and to ensure gaps are narrowed by having a strategic overview of Leadership and Management and leading on this aspect.

 

Joint responsibility, with the other members of SLT, for development, monitoring and evaluating of the school improvement plan.

 

Collective responsibility for the monitoring of teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding

 

The strategic overview of Leadership and Management will include:

  • School Development Planning
  • Staffing model
  • Staff – retention and recruitment
  • Financial monitoring and evaluation

  • Statutory responsibilities

  • To line manage the Deputy Headteachers and Business Manager
  • Personal development of staff and their general well-being.
  • To advise and support staff with developing resilience, stress-coping strategies and work life balance and the management of staff workload.

 

While Miss O’Connor is on leave to have strategic oversight of SEND and Inclusion

Chloe O’ Connor – Deputy Headteacher

Will be on maternity leave October – July.

 

To be responsible for all aspects of safeguarding, positive behaviour and wellbeing within the school.

 

Joint responsibility, with the other members of SLT, for development, monitoring and evaluating of the school improvement plan.

 

Collective responsibility for the monitoring of teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding

 

The strategic overview of safeguarding, positive behaviour and wellbeing will include:

 

  • To be the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with responsibility for all aspects of Safeguarding including policy and procedure, multi-agency working and training
  • To have a strategic overview of all aspects of positive behaviour management throughout the school.
  • Strategic oversight of Inclusion and SEN within the school.
  • To oversee the personal development of children, their attitudes to learning and general wellbeing including their mental health.
  • To signpost staff to appropriate professionals where there are early warning signs of mental health illness.
  • To line manage the Deputy DSLs and SENDCOs.

 

Aimee Proffitt –

Deputy Headteacher

Joint responsibility, with the other members of SLT, for development, monitoring and evaluating of the school improvement plan. Collective responsibility for the monitoring of teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding.

 

 

  • Line management of all Year Leaders (Nursery to Year 6) and cover supervisors and HLTA for cover
  • Line management and oversight of PE
  • To ensure that Year Leaders comply with national testing arrangements.
  • Supporting with personal development of staff and their general well-being.
  • To jointly oversee all training programmes (PGCE and B.Ed students, Graduate TAs, School Direct trainees, Straight to Teaching candidates, Work Experience placements and ECTs

 

While Miss O’Connor is on maternity leave to have strategic oversight of attendance and to be the Designated Safeguarding officer (DSL) with responsibility for all aspects of Safeguarding including policy and procedure, multi-agency working and training

 

 

Sarah Moore – Business Manager

Joint responsibility, with the other members of SLT, for development, monitoring and evaluating of the school improvement plan.

 

Collective responsibility for the monitoring of teaching and learning, pupil progress, assessment and data, and outcomes for children in receipt of Pupil Premium funding

The strategic overview of Resources will include:

  • Finance
  • Facilities
  • Health and Safety
  • Administration (including calendar and Handbook)
  • HR incl. absence management
  • IT Network and SIMs Network
  • Marketing and Publicity
  • School Visits
  • To line manage the Finance Officer, Finance Administrator, Facilities Manager and HR Supervisor/Office Manager

 

Jake Philpott – Assistant Headteacher

The Assistant Headteacher supports the Headteacher in leading the school, with key responsibilities in behaviour management, curriculum development, and teacher development. They provide strategic leadership for pastoral and behaviour systems, and ensure a safe learning environment. Lead curriculum improvements, oversee professional development for staff, and manage resources effectively.

    • Assist the Headteacher and be an active SLT member.
    • Lead on behaviour management, curriculum, and teacher development.
  • Curriculum and Teaching
    • Ensure a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum.
    • Collaborate with subject leads for curriculum development.
    • Oversee continuous professional development for staff.
  • Behaviour Management
    • Oversee behaviour management strategies and support plans.
    • Manage serious incidents and lead on behaviour data analysis.
  • Staff Development
    • Develop and implement a strategic CPD plan.
    • Provide training on inclusive teaching practices.
    • Ensure effective staff induction, support, and performance review.
