Girls football success, during 2021-2022 at the start of the term, Mr Watson and the PE team ran a project alongside Slough School Sports Network, and Tim Croker from, Burnham Junior Wildcats to get more girls enjoying football at Priory. 

The #LETGIRLSPLAY campaign that is run by Football England to give girls the same opportunity as boys to play football, The PE team  did not want to wait until 2024. Lets do it now.

We set up a football pitch for girls only on the playground, with over 30 girls playing each day.

We run girls only football clubs, with over 60 girls attending a week, this was not enough, we want girls to enjoy football outside of school as well, we set up a partnership with Burnham Junior Wildcats, working with Tim Croker who is a brilliant coach, we have over 20 girls each week training and playing competitive matches. 

We worked with SSSN and ran Disney Shooting Stars to engage more girls to play.

We currently have over 65 girls attending afterschool clubs and girls football training each week, if you want your daughter to get involved, why not speak to a member of the PE team.
